VINAYAKA MISSIONS UNIVERSITY

Vinayaka Missions had its origin in the year 1981 with the inception of the Thirumuruga Kirupananda Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal (TKVTSS) Medical educational and charitable trust. Soon from then, in 1982, the Founder-Chairman, Dr. A Shanmugasundaram founded the Vinayaka Mission's College of Pharmacy in Salem, which was one of the pioneer institutions of Vinayaka Missions.

In the year 2001, the "Deemed to be University" status was given to Vinayaka Missions by The Ministry of Human Resources Development (HRD), Government of India. The award was an acknowledgment with the recommendations of the University Grant Commission under Section three of the UGC Act, 1956 for excellence and years of satisfaction of years in the very best level of educational standards and best infrastructural facilities provided to attain eminence in education. By virtue of this recognition, Vinayaka Missions transcended to turning into Vinayaka Missions analysis Foundation (VMRF) as the forty-eighth University in the country.
