MOT Training Expert - Manchester

MOT Training Experts is a UK-based MOT training provider established in Manchester, offering professional training and development for individuals looking to become qualified MOT Testers or expand their knowledge within the MOT testing sector. The training centre is located in Manchester with transport links serving learners from surrounding areas and different parts of the UK. The organisation focuses on providing technical training that combines theoretical understanding with practical learning, helping learners become familiar with the procedures, responsibilities and standards associated with professional MOT testing.

The centre has more than 65 years of combined mechanical and technical experience in the motor trade and MOT field and has invested in teaching facilities designed to support practical training. Its training bay includes MOT OPTL equipment, allowing learners to gain hands-on experience with vehicle inspection procedures.

MOT Training Experts offers a range of courses covering different stages of MOT professional development. These include the Level 2 Award in MOT Testing for Class 4 and Class 7 vehicles, Vehicle Technician Accredited Assessment (VTAA), Level 3 MOT Test Centre Management, Class 5 Light MOT Training, and MOT Annual Training and Assessment.

The Level 2 Award for Class 4 and Class 7 includes theory and practical training covering safe working practices, professional development, pre-test checks and carrying out an MOT test. Eligible learners who successfully complete the qualification can progress towards the VT8 demonstration test monitored by a DVSA vehicle examiner.

For technicians without an accepted Level 3 qualification, the VTAA pathway can provide a route to demonstrate relevant technical knowledge and skills before progressing towards MOT testing qualifications. The organisation also provides training for MOT Test Centre Management, with the Level 3 Award covering legislative and compliance requirements, customer service, staff development and supervision, and test centre quality systems and audits. The management qualification is described as a lifetime qualification and does not expire.

Training is structured to support different learning needs, with practical and theoretical elements incorporated into relevant courses. MOT Training Experts also provides evening and weekend training options for learners who may find it difficult to attend during normal working hours.

Overall, the training covers the knowledge, practical skills, assessment stages and ongoing professional development associated with working as an MOT Tester or managing an MOT Test Centre.
